John Bolger

With over three decades of experience, I’ve held senior management positions in Equipment Maintenance and Continuous Improvement with some of the most respected multinational corporations.

My journey in the manufacturing world has been diverse — covering electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and the motor industry. Before venturing into consultancy, I served as Senior OpEx Engineer at Integer (formerly Lake Region Medical), where I played a pivotal role in helping the company achieve the prestigious Shingo Bronze Medallion.

I hold a City & Guilds Certificate in Maintenance Technology from WIT (1997), a Certificate in Supervisory Management from IMI (2003), and an MSc in Lean Operations from Cardiff University (2009). My Cardiff dissertation focused on standard work processes in maintenance — their role in ensuring consistency, repeatability, and enhanced equipment performance.

I founded Lean Manufacturing Systems in 2021 and am an active member of various Lean networks across Ireland, including the Cobotics Skillnet steering group.
