Noel Hennessy

I have over 30 years’ experience delivering operational excellence and improvement programmes in multinational organisations. From 2005 to 2018, I was the EU/Asia Enterprise Excellence Director for Lake Region Medical, during which the site achieved the Shingo Bronze Medallion. I am now a Shingo Institute Examiner, assessing sites globally on a regular basis.

I’ve also held leadership roles at Seagate Technologies, GSK, TEVA, 3COM, and Measurex. In 2007, I was awarded my MSc in Lean Operations from Cardiff University. My Doctorate in Business Administration from Waterford Institute of Technology followed in 2017 — focusing on the relationship between Employee Engagement and Continuous Improvement.

My quest for best practice has taken me to Europe, the USA, India, and Japan on benchmarking visits. I’m a strong believer in Lean’s transformational power, particularly the Shingo Model, which focuses on the behaviours and systems essential for long-term development.
